According to report by The Nation on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, former Minister of Power and prominent governorship hopeful in Oyo State, Adebayo Adelabu, has officially declared his intention to contest the 2027 Oyo governorship election under the platform of the All Progressives Congress, expressing strong confidence in securing both the party’s ticket and eventual victory at the polls.
