However, this success has a potential downside. The newspaper Bild mentions the German youth protection law, which prohibits minors (under 18) from working after 8 p.m.

This rule concerns both Germans and young foreigners in Germany, such as the young FC Barcelona player, Lamine Yamal. However, Bild specifies that there is an exception for professional athletes, allowing them to play until 11 p.m. during evening matches.

The Spanish team therefore does not risk direct sporting sanctions, but could incur a fine of 30,000 euros in the round of 16.
