Last month, WhatsApp beta for iOS 24.10.10.75 added a little popup that allowed you to easily change the Status Update Privacy setting before posting a new update. This brings us to today and WhatsApp beta for Android 2.24.12.27, which is rolling out with the same feature.
The new privacy control for status updates in WhatsApp
If nothing else, this is a reminder of the current status of the privacy setting, so you won’t forget to change it. And if it needs changing, you don’t have to go into the settings to do so. This will make users more cognizant of who will see their update.
