Senator Adams Oshiomhole has criticised a proposed amendment to Senate rules that would require lawmakers to complete eight consecutive years in office before becoming eligible for the position of Senate President. According to him, the move raises both constitutional and moral concerns.

Speaking during an interview aired by AIT News, Oshiomhole argued that the proposed amendment appears unfair, especially since the current Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, emerged under the existing rules.
