BREAKING: Mosque Declined To Place Of Worship Alone, That’s The Real Cause Of Backwardness In Muslim Ummah—Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar

According to a report by The Sun, on Saturday May 9, 2026, the Sultan of Sokoto and President-General of the Nigeria Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA), Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar, has expressed concern over what he described as the declining role of mosques within Muslim communities, saying many Islamic worship centres have gradually lost their broader societal relevance and are now being used mainly for prayers alone.
