BREAKING NEWS: As Tension Rises, Rivers APC Screening Committee Disowns Circulating List of Cleared, Disqualified Assembly Aspirants

According to report by Vanguard on Monday, May 11, 2026, the All Progressives Congress (APC) screening committee responsible for Rivers State House of Assembly aspirants has dismissed a circulating list of purportedly cleared and disqualified candidates for the 2027 elections, stating that the document did not originate from the committee or any official party source.

It was earlier alleged that the committee had concluded screening and released names of successful and unsuccessful aspirants ahead of the party primaries.
