Political commentator and public affairs expert, Prof Yusuf, has criticized the recent political moves of former Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, describing him as a politician uncomfortable with political competition. Speaking during an interview with SYMFONI TV on the state of opposition politics in Nigeria, Prof Yusuf reacted to Obi’s reported reasons for exiting the opposition coalition involving the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

Obi had reportedly cited issues such as internal distrust, toxicity, and alleged destabilization of opposition parties by the ruling party. However, Prof Yusuf dismissed those explanations, arguing that the former Anambra governor was simply avoiding political rivalry.
