BREAKING NEWS: Police arrest father and two women over alleged k!lling of teacher who disciplined 11-year-old pupil in Kogi

The Kogi State Police Command has arrested three suspects after concluding investigation into the alleged k!lling of Mariam Usman, a staff member of Brains Minds Nursery and Primary School, Ugbamaka, in Olamaboro Local Government Area of the state.

The spokesperson for the command, ASP Saliu Oyiza Afusat, who disclosed this in a statement on Wednesday, July 8, 2026 said the case was thoroughly investigated by detectives from the Homicide Section of the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Lokoja, leading to the arrest of the suspects.

According to the police, investigations revealed that the deceased was first assaulted on June 17, 2026, by Abdullahi Isiaka at her residence over disciplinary measures she took against his 11-year-old son while carrying out her duties at the school..Continue Full Reading>>>
