BREAKING: Trump, Zelensky Wrap Up Hour-Long Ankara Talks as US President Says He ‘Would’ Visit Ukraine

According to a report by Kyiv Post on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, US President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky have concluded a one-hour bilateral meeting on the sidelines of the NATO summit in Ankara, Türkiye, where the two leaders discussed Ukraine’s defence needs, long-term military cooperation and the ongoing war with Russia.

The meeting, held at the Beştepe Presidential Complex on Wednesday, lasted from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. local time and marked the leaders’ first face-to-face talks since Russia intensified its missile and drone attacks on Ukraine.
