Nollywood actress Scarlet Gomez has reacted to a social media follower who asked her for ₦200 million, claiming they are related because they share the same surname.
Naija News reports that in a tweet, the follower stated that since they both bear the name Gomez, they must somehow be from the same family and even suggested that the actress might be a Lagos native like them.
The person then went on to ask for ₦200 million to support a business venture.
The user wrote: “We bear the same surname…. So we are somehow related.. if possible you’re a Lagosian. So my sister…. I need 200 million for my business.. please help me 😃❤️.”
Scarlet Gomez responded by explaining that the surname came from her husband, making it clear that anyone seeking such an amount should be directing the request in that direction instead.
She wrote: “Na from my husband hand you go collect that money 😂 that’s where I got the name from.”
