Additionally, Senator Ned announced a cash grant of 100,000 Naira each for 100 individuals with disabilities who reside in the Delta North senatorial district. This gesture aims to improve their quality of life.
Recognizing the crucial role of agriculture in achieving sustainable development and ensuring food sufficiency, Senator Ned Nwoko is committed to supporting farmers in Delta North. This commitment aligns with the broader agenda of strengthening the agricultural sector.
Speaking at the event, Chairman of Concern Nigerians for Better Nigeria (CNBN), Olorogun Godwin Obire, commended Senator Ned for his initiative, describing it as exemplary.
Obire emphasized that Senator Ned has consistently prioritized the empowerment of constituents in the Delta North senatorial district. Thousands of individuals have already benefited from the Ned Nwoko financial assistance scheme, initiated by the Ned Nwoko Foundation, which supports farmers, women, and elderly individuals, among others.
Furthermore, Obire appreciated Senator Ned’s approach of continuous empowerment programs that aim to systematically and reliably provide citizens with basic necessities and support to enhance their quality of life. Senator Ned believes that cash grants should be used for expanding businesses, rather than for immediate needs, such as feeding or solving urgent problems, as this defeats the purpose of the initiative.
Senator Ned urged the farmer beneficiaries to expand their farming entrepreneurship, increase their contribution to national and local food production, and serve as role models for aspiring farmers in the Delta North senatorial district.
