Morocco head coach, Walid Regragui, has heaped praise Brahim Diaz as he continues to shine at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
Regragui has spoken about how much he has been impressed by the 26-year-old, who has already netted five times at the tournament.
Despite the goals of top marksmen like Mohamed Salah and Victor Osimhen at the AFCON, Diaz’s tally sees him lead the scoring charts.
Beyond his goalscoring exploits, Regragui has been impressed by the Real Madrid forward’s work rate and application.
“It’s so important when you see your best player running like this, and then when he scores very important goals for us,” Regragui told ESPN.
“I told him that he can be the best player in the world if he wants.”
Regragui is now preparing Diaz and his Atlas Lions team-mates for a testing semi-final clash with Nigeria on Wednesday.
