Anambra Residents Breathe Sigh of Relief as Police Deploy Extra Security for Soludo’s Inauguration

According to Vanguard on Saturday, March 14, 2026, the Anambra State Police Command has flooded the streets with more officers to ensure a peaceful second-term inauguration for Governor Chukwuma Soludo this Tuesday.

The State PPRO, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, confirmed in Awka that the command is not taking any chances. Security personnel have been moved to strategic junctions and public spaces across the state capital and beyond to prevent any breakdown of law and order.

To boost the operation, 100 specially trained combat officers from the Police College in Oji River have been brought in. These officers are expected to work alongside regular patrols to keep the state calm as dignitaries begin to arrive. See More/Details
