BREAKING: “APC Was Banned In Zamfara And Rivers In 2019, We Complied, ADC Must Now Do The Same” – Felix Morka

APC National Publicity Secretary Felix Morka reminded Nigerians that in 2019, APC was completely prohibited by INEC from fielding candidates in Zamfara and Rivers states due to internal crisis, but as the ruling party, they did nothing to use federal power to interfere or compel INEC to reverse the decision. He made the statement on Channels Television while defending APC’s democratic credentials.

He said people initially forget that APC has been a victim of INEC decisions before, yet they complied fully without using government power to intervene. Morka argued that if APC as ruling party was obsessed with complying with rule of law then, why should ADC be exempt from due process now, and that the current situation is actually the triumph of rule of law that PDP once hailed when APC lost.

He said: “In 2019 in Zamfara state, APC was completely prohibited by INEC from fielding candidates in all the positions in that state because of APC’s internal crisis at the time. Same thing happened in Rivers State. We also didn’t field candidates in Rivers. Now let me remind Nigerians that at this time in 2019 the APC was the ruling party, but we did nothing to use the power of the federal government to interfere or intervene to compel INEC to not take that decision.
