BREAKING: Bandits Kidnap Woman, Massacre Residents in Multiple Kaduna Communities

Bandits have continued to attack several communities in Kauru Local Government Area of Kaduna State, abducting residents and killing others, according to a security report shared on social media.

In a post shared on X on Tuesday, security analyst Bakatsine raised the alarm over what he described as rising insecurity across Kauru LGA.

According to him, the latest attack occurred on Monday night in Kadagen Kauru, where a young woman, Fatima Zahra, was abducted by armed men.

Bakatsine listed a series of recent attacks across different communities in the local government, noting that dozens of residents have been kidnapped, while several others lost their lives.

According to the post, Ningi Karku recorded seven abductions and one death, while Kajunga had six people kidnapped and two killed.

“In Kabari (Gobirawa), no fewer than 53 residents were reportedly abducted, with four killed during the attacks,” he wrote.

Other affected communities include Danmaikogi, where three people were kidnapped and one killed; Fadan Rishiwa, with eight abducted and two killed; and Kagadama, where six residents were kidnapped and one killed.

Bakatsine further reported that three people were abducted in Fagen Rawa, eight in Rafin Iwa, and three in Unguwan Baka.

In Nasarawan Kadage, 29 residents were kidnapped and two killed, while Darmanu recorded six abductions and two deaths.

In Rumaya, 28 people were reportedly abducted and three killed, while Zaman Chawai recorded one abduction, with the victim still in captivity.

The most recent attack in Kadagen Kauru allegedly left 31 people kidnapped, one person killed, and four others injured. In Kizanya, one resident was killed and three injured.

“How long will communities in Kauru LGA continue to endure such violence before decisive action is taken by authorities and security agencies?,” Bakatsine asked.

As at time of filing this report, authorities are yet to issue an official statement regarding the incident.
