BREAKING: Donald Trump insists Iran regime change already happened, claims Iranians want a deal very badly

Donald Trump said on Tuesday that recent developments in Iran amount to what he described as a “regime change,” arguing that the country’s leadership has significantly shifted since the start of the conflict.

Speaking at the White House, Trump maintained that the United States is now engaging with different figures than those previously in power.

“We have, really, a regime change,” Trump told reporters, suggesting that the current leadership differs from those he blames for earlier tensions.

He added that Washington is in active discussions with Iranian representatives, though he declined to provide detailed information about the negotiations.

According to Trump, the US is “talking to the right people” in Iran, emphasizing that Tehran is highly motivated to reach an agreement.

“They want to make a deal so badly,” he said, underscoring his belief that Iran is eager to end hostilities and secure favorable terms.

According to BBC, Trump did not confirm whether his envoy Steve Witkoff or adviser Jared Kushner would hold meetings in the coming days, keeping the details of diplomatic efforts largely undisclosed.

The president also revealed that Iran had made what he described as a significant, energy-related concession to the United States.

While he did not elaborate, he hinted the development could be linked to the Strait of Hormuz, a critical route for global oil shipments.

Calling the gesture a “very big present,” Trump said it was worth a substantial amount of money and reflected goodwill from the Iranian side.

He further claimed that Iran has agreed not to pursue nuclear weapons and asserted that its military capabilities have been severely weakened during the conflict.

Trump concluded that the United States holds a strong negotiating position as talks continue.
