Speaking during an interview on News Central TV, activist lawyer Dele Farotimi shared his perspective on power dynamics and political developments in Nigeria.
In his remarks, he referenced former Kaduna State governor Nasir El-Rufai, reflecting on recent developments and the broader lessons they may present within the political space.
“When power is only limited by a man’s whims, the day will come when those whims will be directed against the enablers, and that is inevitable. The man who was busy joining the Buga dance after Chatham House, is the power not reigning on his head today?”
He explained that his comments were intended to highlight the importance of accountability and the potential outcomes when power is exercised without sufficient restraint.
According to him, such situations often evolve in ways that affect not only those directly involved but also others within the system.
