According to a report by Punch on Saturday, March 14, 2026, former Head of State Yakubu Gowon has expressed strong support for the performance of Bola Tinubu, stating that the president is doing his best in managing the affairs of the country.
Gowon made the remarks on Saturday in Abuja after visiting the president at the State House inside the Aso Rock Presidential Villa.
The former military leader explained that his visit was mainly to appreciate the president’s efforts in governing the nation and to acknowledge the progress being made under the current administration.
During the visit, Gowon spoke about the importance of leadership in guiding the country through different economic and political challenges.
