According to a report by Daily Trust on Saturday, March 14, 2026, the immediate past Inspector-General of Police, Mr Kayode Egbetokun, revealed that three prayers guided his leadership after he assumed office in 2023.
Egbetokun shared this during a retirement thanksgiving service organised in his honour at the Force Headquarters Chapel in Abuja.
The service also marked the inauguration of the Nigeria Police Force Chaplaincy edifice, a ceremony attended by several senior police officers and worshippers from various units across the country.
According to Egbetokun, his first prayer upon taking office was for wisdom, seeking the ability to make decisions that would positively influence the force and the nation at large. See More/Details
