According to a report by DWS News, former U.S. President Donald Trump recently provided further details about the military outcomes of an operation referred to as “Epic Fury.” Speaking during a briefing at Trump National Doral, Trump claimed that coordinated military actions carried out by the United States and Israel successfully eliminated what he described as an urgent nuclear threat posed by Iran.
Trump stated that intelligence assessments indicated Iran was approaching the final stage of producing a nuclear warhead before the joint operation began on February 28, 2026. He suggested that the intervention was launched at a critical moment when Iranian authorities were reportedly close to completing the weapon.
During his remarks, Trump also disclosed that he had discussed the rapid pace of the military campaign during a telephone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin earlier in the week. According to Trump, Putin expressed surprise at how quickly the operation unfolded and how effectively the strikes were carried out.
The former president praised the military leadership involved in the mission, describing the commanders as highly capable and emphasizing that the strategy and execution of the operation were unusually swift. Trump further characterized Iran as a country with significant military strength, particularly due to its extensive missile capabilities.
