According to the Anadolu agency, Israel says it carried out a series of coordinated airstrikes deep inside Iran over the past 24 hours, hitting targets in three major cities in what appears to be one of the most geographically widespread attacks of the current conflict.
According to the Israeli military, the strikes unfolded simultaneously in Tehran, Shiraz, and Ahvaz. The operation, carried out by the Israeli Air Force, was directed by military intelligence and aimed at infrastructure the army says is tied to Iran’s military and security apparatus.
In a statement posted on the social media platform X, the Israeli army said its aircraft launched several waves of attacks targeting what it described as facilities belonging to the “Iranian terrorist regime.” The strikes, it said, were part of a broader campaign designed to weaken Iran’s military capabilities.
