BREAKING: “It Can Revive Anything Dead or Dying” — Oyedepo Speaks on the Power of Thanksgiving

The Presiding Bishop of Living Faith Church Worldwide, also known as Winners’ Chapel, David Oyedepo, has said that thanksgiving carries divine power capable of reviving anything dying or already dead in a believer’s life.

Speaking during a recent YouTube sermon, Bishop Oyedepo explained that gratitude to God is not a mere religious act but a spiritual force that provokes restoration and miracles. Reading from Jeremiah 13:15–17, he emphasized the urgency of giving glory to God “on time, not some time to come,” warning that delayed gratitude can attract divine displeasure and loss of blessings.

Quoting Jesus’ encounter at the tomb of Lazarus, the cleric noted that thanksgiving played a vital role in the miracle of resurrection. “Thanksgiving has power to bring back to life anything dying or dead in and around our lives, as demonstrated by Christ,” he declared. “When Jesus said, ‘Father, I thank thee for thou hast heard me,’ Lazarus was still in the grave. Yet, that act of thanksgiving stirred heaven to action and brought him back to life.”

According to Oyedepo, gratitude is not only an expression of faith but also a proof of understanding God’s will. “When we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And this is the will of God—that in everything, we give thanks,” he said.

He urged worshippers to engage in what he called “intense thanksgiving” throughout the month, assuring them that doing so would result in supernatural turnarounds and divine healing. “Nothing dies around you again. Nothing dies in your body again,” he declared, adding that malfunctioning organs and failing situations would experience revival through heartfelt gratitude.

Bishop Oyedepo concluded by encouraging believers to stay spiritually awake and maintain an attitude of thanksgiving, stressing that it remains one of the greatest proofs of faith in God’s power to restore life and bring about lasting change.“Every malfunctioning organ will come back,” he affirmed. “Thanksgiving is the secret to life restored.”
