According to a report by Channels TV, on Saturday March 14, 2026, residents of the Bazin community in the Kubwa district of the Federal Capital Territory have been gripped by fear after a group of heavily armed attackers stormed the area and abducted several young children along with a nursing mother.
The attack happened in a part of Abuja that is expanding quickly but still lacks adequate infrastructure and security presence. As a result of the raid, a three-week-old baby has been left without its mother, while several households are struggling to cope with the trauma of the abductions.
According to reports, the assailants appeared to carry out the operation in a coordinated manner, deliberately selecting certain homes during the raid.
