BREAKING: Muslim Rights Concern Says Dangote Refinery Can Supply 75m Litres of Petrol, 25m Diesel Daily

A human rights advocacy group, the Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC), has accused the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA) of lacking transparency in its dealings with the Dangote Refinery, according to report by LEADERSHIP on Sunday March 15 2026.

In a statement issued on Saturday, the group’s Executive Director, Professor Ishaq Akintola, highlighted the refinery’s immense production capacity, noting that it can deliver 75 million litres of petrol, 25 million litres of diesel, and 20 million litres of aviation fuel daily.

Professor Akintola emphasized the refinery’s economic impact, stating that the commencement of operations had contributed significantly to stabilizing Nigeria’s currency and reducing inflation. See More/Details
