BREAKING NEWS: Businesswoman Threatens to Confront David Umahi Over Alleged ₦250m Debt

A Nigerian businesswoman, Tracy Ohiri, has stirred widespread reactions online after publicly accusing the Minister of Works, David Umahi, of owing her ₦250 million and vowing to confront him personally over the matter.

Ohiri made the claim during an emotional interview on the KaaTruths Show, where she alleged that the minister has refused to settle the debt despite her efforts to recover the money. According to her, the situation has left her deeply frustrated and desperate.

During the interview, she revealed that she now attends several public gatherings in Abuja and other locations across the country in the hope of meeting the minister face‑to‑face. Ohiri said she carefully scans crowds at such events, looking for an opportunity to approach him about the alleged unpaid money.

Expressing her anger during the conversation, she declared that if she eventually gets close enough to Umahi, she would not hesitate to confront him directly in order to demand her payment.

In her words: “Because this my hand you see like this, if it enters David Umahi’s trousers or holds his neck, there is no human being on earth that can remove it. Go and ask Reverend King.”

Her remarks quickly spread across social media, drawing mixed reactions from Nigerians. While some people expressed shock at the intensity of her statement and the idea of physically confronting a public official, others sympathized with her, arguing that many Nigerians struggle to recover debts owed to them.

Several commenters noted that financial disputes can sometimes lead to extreme frustration, especially when large sums of money are involved. Others, however, criticized the tone of the threat, saying such issues should be handled through legal or formal channels rather than public confrontations.

As the controversy continues to generate debate online, the Minister of Works has not yet released any official response to the allegations or the claims of the ₦250 million debt.

For now, the matter remains unresolved, with many observers waiting to see whether either party will provide further clarification regarding the situation.
