Three suspected cable thieves have been apprehended by operatives of the Ogun State Community, Social Orientation and Safety Corps, also known as So-Safe Corps, in Ijagun area of Ijebu-Ode.
The suspects, 30-year-old Adeleje Okunuga, 31-year-old Wale Mosadoluwa, and 33-year-old Anifowose Michael were arrested while heading toward Ijagun area of the state.

The Corps Commander, Soji Ganzallo in a statement issued in Abeokuta, said they were apprehended by the Special Squad of the Ijebu Zonal Command during a routine patrol in the early hours of Monday.
Ganzallo disclosed that on interrogation, one of the suspects allegedly confessed to engaging in cable theft since 2023, revealing that an accomplice currently in a correctional facility had directed him to retrieve tools from a hidden location.
Items recovered from the suspects includes a large cutter, pliers, a screwdriver, and a motorcycle.
The Corps Commander added that the suspects and recovered exhibits had been handed over to the Nigeria Police Force, Igbeba Area Command, for further investigation and likely prosecution. See more
