According to a report by Anadolu Agency on Thursday, March 19, 2026, a recent survey conducted in Poland has revealed that many Poles view the United States and Israel as significant threats to global security, second only to Russia.
The findings, published on Thursday, highlight shifting perceptions of international power and influence within the Polish public.
According to the survey, which was conducted by the polling organization CBOS for the daily newspaper Dziennik Gazeta Prawna and reported by Polskie Radio, a majority of respondents identified Russia, Israel, and the U.S. as the nations posing the greatest danger to world peace. Specifically, 54% of those surveyed named Russia as the top threat, while Israel was cited by 15% and the United States by 14%.
Other countries, including China and Iran, were seen as much less threatening, with only 3.6% and 2.1% of respondents respectively listing them as major risks to global security. The results indicate that perceptions of danger are concentrated on nations with highly visible military and political influence, rather than global powers with more indirect roles in world affairs.
