Former Kaduna Central Senator, Shehu, Sani, has reacted to the admission of President Donald Trump of the United States that Muslims are also killed in Nigeria.
In a post on his verified X handle on Friday, Sani said the earlier genocide script was aimed at using the US to achieve a hidden agenda.
He said that all faiths must collectively agree to the dangers they faced and the need for the eradication of terrorists from Nigeria.
“The recent admission by President Trump that ‘Muslims are also killed’ by terrorists in Northern Nigeria properly and objectively locates the violence in its context.
“Being a Muslim doesn’t insulate you from the evil of terrorism.
“We must also free ourselves from the illusion that a foreign power will solve the problems we are supposed to solve ourselves,” he wrote.
