Spokesperson of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Bolaji Abdullahi, has attributed worsening economic and security conditions in Nigeria to policy decisions taken since 2023, while calling for renewed regional collaboration to address terrorism.
Abdullahi made these remarks during an interview on Channels Television on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, where he responded to comments by President Bola Tinubu regarding global factors affecting inflation.
Reacting to the President’s remarks, Abdullahi stated, “So when the president is saying, oh, the Iran-Iraq war is likely to make inflation worse and make life more difficult, we can’t relate with that because that is our reality since 2023 that he has come to power.”
He further raised concerns about energy infrastructure, stating, “And they’ve taken the presidential villa off the national grid. They are now saying they are on solar.
