BREAKING: Trump: This will be peace for Israel. Long-term peace, guaranteed peace, if this happens

As reported by the Times of Israel, there was a clear change in attitude on Monday when Donald Trump indicated that a resolution in the ongoing conflict involving Iran and Israel might be nearer than anticipated, despite lingering confusion and doubt regarding this assertion.

Expressing an unusual sense of hope, Trump stated that his administration had engaged in what he called “very good and productive” talks aimed at completely resolving the conflict. To demonstrate confidence, he mentioned that US plans for strikes on Iran’s energy sector had been postponed for five days to allow for diplomatic efforts.

“I am happy to announce that the United States and Iran have engaged in very constructive discussions over the past two days about reaching a total end to our hostilities in the Middle East,” Trump mentioned.

The most notable moment occurred when he anticipated the implications of such an agreement, asserting: “This will result in peace for Israel. A lasting peace, assured peace, if this occurs.”

However, while officials in Washington pointed to progress, Tehran strongly opposed this narrative. Iranian representatives rejected claims of any discussions, with Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf labeling the news as “fake news” intended to mislead global financial markets.

In Israel, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu took a more careful approach. Initially quiet, he later confirmed that he communicated with Trump and recognized the potential to convert recent military successes into a diplomatic result that would “ensure our crucial interests.”

Meanwhile, regional nations are reportedly making efforts to prevent tensions from escalating, especially with the strategic Strait of Hormuz, a key route for global oil, under threat. Markets reacted positively for a short time, reflecting hopes for a de-escalation of the crisis.

Nevertheless, the way forward is unclear. Trump claimed a deal could be reached within days, but he emphasized that the halt in military operations is only temporary.

At this moment, the world is closely observing, caught between the hope for peace and the danger that everything could fall apart just as swiftly.
