BREAKING: Wike Said There’ll Be No Reconciliation Unless PDP Agrees There’ll Be No Presidential Candidate—Sani

Umar Sani, a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has alleged that the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, set specific conditions for reconciliation within the party amid its ongoing leadership crisis.

Speaking in a video shared on Symfoni, Sani highlighted the internal disagreements and factional disputes currently affecting the PDP. He claimed that during discussions with party stakeholders seeking to resolve differences, Wike insisted that any reconciliation would only be possible if the party agreed not to field a presidential candidate in an upcoming election.

Sani quoted Wike as saying, “When they went to meet Wike, one of the things he told them is that there’s no reconciliation unless the PDP agrees that there will be no presidential candidate, we’ll not field any presidential candidate.” According to Sani, this condition was both surprising and troubling, especially coming from someone who continues to identify as a PDP member.
