Naija News recalls that Kwankwaso had officially resigned from the NNPP. He made this known in a statement released on Sunday, which he personally signed.

In the message, he explained that his decision followed recent changes in the country’s political direction, which he believes now require him to move on a different path.

Kwankwaso said he was thankful for the chance to serve as the party’s national leader and also represent it in the 2023 presidential election.

He admitted that leaving the party was not an easy choice for him, considering his role and commitment over time.

Despite this, he stated that the present political situation in the country has made it necessary for him to align with another platform.

According to him, this move is aimed at securing a better position to contribute to efforts to bring about change in the nation.

The former Kano State Governor is set to officially join the ADC today, 30th March, ahead of the 2027 general elections.
