Primate Elijah Ayodele has raised concerns about the international political dynamics surrounding Bola Ahmed Tinubu, particularly ahead of the president’s planned visit to the United Kingdom.
In a video message shared on Facebook, the cleric suggested that although the Nigerian leader would be warmly received in Britain, such diplomatic gestures should not be mistaken for meaningful political backing.
According to him, “Tinubu Is Going To UK, They Will Give Him A Very Warm Reception And A Highly Welcome,” but he quickly added that the display of hospitality may not translate into tangible support for the Nigerian president.
Ayodele argued that while the United Kingdom might appear friendly during the visit, its support would largely be symbolic. He cautioned that political leaders often interpret ceremonial receptions abroad as endorsements, a perception he believes could be misleading. See More/Details
