Sankucomedy
In September 2025, Popular TikToker Mr. Sankucomedy had died in a fatal accident, while returning home to Ogbomoso from a shoot in Ilorin.
Reports alleged that he was speeding, which led to him losing control of the vehicle and crashing into a canal. Ironically, in his last video, he expressed a prayer to avoid losing his life before being able to enjoy the fruits of his labor.
BigButFit
Popular Nigerian TikToker Ms. Chinelo, known as BigButFit, a body positivity advocate, was said to have died during a tummy procedure in late July of 2025.
However, the report indicated that she died from a hernia operation.
Disturbing
Disturbing, a vocal advocate for the “Justice for Mohbad” movement, died during a live stream on April 25, 2025.
He appeared to suffer a seizure before collapsing and passing away. His wife revealed that he had a medical history of seizures and was undergoing treatment, dismissing rumors about spiritual attacks.
Ladi Anzaki Olubunmi
Ladi Anzaki Olubunmi, a Nigerian TikTok content moderator, was found dead in her Nairobi apartment on March 7, 2025.
She worked for Teleperformance, a company contracted to moderate TikTok content, and had been living in Kenya since 2022. Colleagues alleged that she was denied leave to travel home despite having an annual return ticket benefit, which she hadn’t used since arriving in Kenya.
Her death has raised concerns about the working conditions faced by content moderators, including low pay, long hours, and inadequate mental health support.
Christiana Olatunji
Popular content creator named Christiana Olatunji was found dead in a gutter in Lokoja, Kogi State.
The deceased, a 21 year-old with the TikTok name “thianahclevs1” hailed from Fehinti-Kabba, and was resident in Lokoja.
A Facebook user, Seun Jajah alleged that the deceased was last seen at a popular lounge in Lokoja with one of her friends.
He also added that following the recovery of her body, her friend was taken in by the police for investigation.
Anda Damisa (LazyWrita)
Lastly, a social media influencer who announced his own death in an Instagram post in December 2025, stating he had “lived a full and adventurous life” but no longer had the energy to continue. He committed suicide
