A prominent stakeholder in the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and Director of Mobilisation for the Obedient Movement in the Northeast, Hon. Joseph Enan Maigari, has formally declared his intention to contest for the House of Representatives seat representing the Numan, Demsa, and Lamurde Federal Constituency.
Maigari made the declaration in a recent post on his official social media page, signalling the beginning of what he described as a renewed push for quality representation in the area.
“The time for good representation has come for the people of Numan, Demsa, and Lamurde,” he stated, adding that the constituency has suffered significant setbacks over the past years due to what he termed “poor representation.”
If elected under the platform of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Maigari promised to drive massive development through aggressive road construction, effective legislation, and well-targeted people-oriented programmes that will directly impact the lives of constituents.
He highlighted the enthusiastic response of the people, particularly commending the massive online registration and acquisition of ADC membership cards across Demsa, Numan, and Lamurde, describing it as a strong show of solidarity.
“As a vibrant youth, I will focus strongly on youth development, create employment opportunities, empower women, and address issues of disunity that threaten peace in the area,” Maigari pledged.
He further assured that residents would witness tangible development and progress if given the mandate to represent them at the lower chamber of the National Assembly.
Maigari called on the people of the three local government areas to rally behind his aspiration, describing it as a collective journey towards real development and effective representation.
The declaration comes as political activities intensify ahead of future electoral cycles, with the ADC positioning itself as an alternative platform for voters seeking change in Adamawa State and beyond.
Hon. Maigari’s entry adds a fresh voice to the contest for the Numan-Demsa-Lamurde seat, currently held by Rt. Hon. Kwamoti Bitrus La’ori.
Supporters see his bid as an opportunity to inject youthful energy and new ideas into the representation of the constituency.
