“I Am Not Part Of Any Northern Coalition Against Tinubu”

Former Governor of Sokoto State, Aminu Tambuwal, has distanced himself from alleged northern plots to force President Bola Tinubu out of office, insisting that while he is not part of such conspiracies, he remains firmly committed to ensuring the All Progressives Congress (APC) is removed through democratic means in 2027.

Tambuwal made the remarks during an appearance on Channels Television, where he also opened up on his recent encounter with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), which he believes is politically motivated.

“I’m fully involved in a process that would democratically and lawfully, by the grace of God, send this government out of office.

“By the grace of God we’ll chase this government out of power, with the help of God and Nigerians,” Tambuwal stated during the interview.

The former governor, now a key opposition figure in the African Democratic Congress (ADC), said the ruling party is uncomfortable with his activities and growing influence.

When asked about his ongoing case with the EFCC, Tambuwal did not mince words in suggesting political motives behind it.

Asked directly if the trial was politically induced, he replied, “Yes.”

Pressed further on who may be behind the pressure, he said, “Those who are concerned are worried about my activities.”

Responding to reports that some northern leaders are plotting against the Tinubu administration, Tambuwal clarified that he is not part of any sectional conspiracy.

“I’m not among some people in the North coming together to say that Tinubu must go,” he said.

However, he admitted widespread dissatisfaction with the current administration.

“It’s true that Nigerians are not happy,” he noted.

Tambuwal said his focus is on building a national coalition for a change in leadership, stressing that any transition must follow constitutional and democratic channels.

“I’m involved in the national coalition that there should be a change of guard in Aso Rock through a constitutional democratic process on May 29,” he added.
