The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Yilwatda, has assured President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and party members of his unwavering commitment to delivering effective leadership and strengthening the party’s unity.
Speaking during a stakeholders’ meeting in Abuja, Yilwatda emphasized his resolve not to disappoint the confidence reposed in him. He pledged to prioritize internal cohesion, transparency, and grassroots mobilization as key pillars of his administration.
“I will not fail you. I understand the responsibility that comes with this office, and I am fully prepared to work tirelessly to justify the trust placed in me,” he stated.
The APC chairman noted that the party remains focused on consolidating its political gains while supporting the administration of President Tinubu in delivering on its policy agenda. He called on party leaders across all levels to close ranks and avoid divisions that could weaken the party’s structure ahead of future electoral contests.
Yilwatda further stressed the importance of discipline and loyalty within the APC, urging members to channel grievances through appropriate party mechanisms rather than the public space.
Party stakeholders present at the meeting expressed confidence in his leadership, describing his emergence as a step toward stabilizing the party and enhancing its internal democracy.
Political observers say the chairman’s remarks come at a crucial time, as the APC navigates post-election dynamics and prepares for upcoming political engagements. His ability to unify factions and strengthen party structures is expected to play a significant role in shaping the party’s future trajectory.
