$70 million in this economy?” Ibrahim Mahama trends after buying a new jet and converting his old one into an air ambulance. Ghana is talking.
After news broke that he had bought a new private jet worth about $70 million, many people were shocked. But what really set social media on fire was his next move. Using his old jet as an air ambulance to help save lives.

Some Ghanaian’s are praising him heavily.
“At least he’s using the old one to help sick people. That’s not easy,” one social media user wrote.
Others are not impressed at all.

“$70 million jet in this economy? This country is not serious,” another commenter fired back.
“He only buys Jet when his brother is the President.”
“NDC dier Nyame b3 tua mo ka paaaa”
“Imagine Gabby Otchere buying jet in Ghana during nana Addo’s administration anka we will not sleep her hypocrite.. ”
“Imagine Gabby Acquiring this during Addo Dee administration?.. Nyame P3” ….. he commented
On the streets, opinions are sharply divided. Supporters say the businessman worked hard for his money and has every right to enjoy it, especially if he is also giving back to society.
Critics, however, say the timing is wrong. With many Ghanaians struggling to afford basic needs, they believe the luxury sends the wrong message, even with the ambulance gesture.
The conversation has now moved beyond jets and charity. For many, it is about wealth, class, and how rich people show care in hard times.
