Dr. Jude Okechukwu Emecheta, a media consultant and chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Anambra state, has commended Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo’s gas pipeline initiative for electricity generation to engender industrialisation in the state.
Emecheta, who congratulated the governor on his second term inauguration during an exclusive interview with this journalist in Awka, maintained that Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo would be the best governor in the world if he actualises the gas pipeline agenda, as he believes only a steady electricity supply can guarantee industrialisation and massive job creation for the citizenry.
He believes that if Anambra state has a gas pipeline, the craving to seek jobs in Lagos and Abuja will end because there will be industries in the state.
Although he pointed out that the problem of Anambra indigenes who want to build industries in the state is power and road infrastructure, he was equally convinced that if there is power and a road network, a lot of industries will come to Anambra state.
The APC chieftain also disclosed that the governor has agreed with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to dredge the River Niger; this, according to him, would help to decongest other seaports across the country and also make the Onitsha seaport active and functional, even as he emphasized the need for a coalition with federal government agencies to realise the project.See More In Details…
