JUST IN: Emir Muhammadu Sanusi II Receives Hon. Nabil Sarki Aliyu Daneji, Son of Late Kano Lawmaker

The Khalifan Tijjaniyya and Emir of Kano, Dr. Muhammadu Sanusi II, has received Hon. Nabil Sarki Aliyu Daneji, the son of the late Kano State House of Assembly member, Hon. Sarki Aliyu Daneji, during a courtesy visit in Kano.

Hon. Nabil paid the visit to the respected traditional ruler and Islamic scholar to seek blessings, guidance, and prayers. During the meeting, the Emir offered special prayers for the young leader, asking Almighty Allah to grant him success, wisdom, and continued progress in his life and public service.

The late Hon. Sarki Aliyu Daneji served as a member of the Kano State House of Assembly representing Kano Municipal Constituency before his passing in December 2025. His death, which occurred within hours of another lawmaker’s passing, threw the state assembly and the wider Kano community into mourning.

In recognition of the visit, Hon. Nabil was presented with a certificate during the meeting with the Emir. The visit also provided an opportunity for the young public figure to receive spiritual counsel and encouragement from the monarch.

Observers say the gesture reflects the longstanding tradition in Kano where political leaders, youths, and community stakeholders regularly visit traditional rulers and respected clerics to seek prayers and moral guidance.

Hon. Nabil, who has been active in youth leadership circles, is widely regarded as one of the emerging young figures inspired by the legacy of his late father, who was known for his grassroots political engagement and service to the people of Kano Municipal.

The Emir prayed for peace, unity, and continued development in Kano State, while urging young leaders to uphold integrity, humility, and dedication to public service.
