JUST IN: God Has Assured Me He Has More For Me To Do On Earth, He Has Given Me The Wherewithal To Do It–OBJ

According to a report by Daily Post on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, former President Olusegun Obasanjo has clarified his position regarding circulating reports that he allegedly wrote a notice of his death.

Obasanjo dismissed the reports, describing them as the work of individuals he referred to as “never-do-well.”

The former President was responding to an article that had been widely shared on social media platforms and through WhatsApp, which claimed that he had authored a notice about his death.

The article circulated online read: “Listen and read former President Olusegun Obasanjo’s latest memoirs. (This is devoid of Obasanjo’s normal day-to-day jibes; no accusations, no abuses; it’s just like a final memoir about life).”

Obasanjo emphasized that, despite such false reports, he has received assurances from God regarding his longevity, stating that those who hope otherwise will face divine judgment.

Speaking in Abeokuta, Obasanjo drew attention to the individuals behind the circulation of the fake death notice, noting that their intentions were contrary to his actual fate.

He highlighted that these “never-do-wells” had published and circulated a fabricated paper that they attributed to him, which claimed he was preparing to announce his death.

Obasanjo made it clear that such claims reflected the wish of those individuals, not the will of God, asserting that God has more work for him to accomplish on earth.

He reassured the public that he remains in good health and continues his daily activities as usual, indicating that his life and mission are still intact.

Obasanjo said: “For my final note in this address, I want to point your attention to the work of some never-do-wells.”

“They publish and circulate a fake paper credited to me, claiming that I am writing and giving notice of my death, pafuka.

“That is their wish and surely not God’s wish for me. God has assured me that He has more for me to do on earth, and He has given me the wherewithal to do it. And those who wish otherwise are going to be dealt with by God Himself. I dey kampe as usual. God bless.”
