Nollywood actress Damipe Adekoya has admitted that she is still healing from childhood emotional trauma that made her seek love and validation from outsiders instead of from within her family.
She explained that although her parents loved her, the distance created by their demanding careers and the constant pressure of being a pastor’s child made her feel unseen and unable to confide in them. Over time, she developed a habit of hiding her true feelings behind smiles, playfulness and jokes.
Damipe confessed that, even as an adult, she still struggles to depend on people or ask for help, often retreating into her shell for years if someone hurts her feelings, and admits she may not yet have fully healed. See More/Details
