The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, alongside his son and political associates, visited residents of Kuje Area Council to express appreciation for their support during the recent Area Council elections.
According to a media post by Lere Olayinka, the media aide to the FCT Minister, on Thursday, 5 March 2026, the visit was part of a thank-you outreach to the people for electing candidates who support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
During the engagement, Wike and members of his entourage interacted with residents and community leaders, expressing gratitude for their confidence in the leadership aligned with the Renewed Hope agenda of the Tinubu administration.
He commended the people of Kuje for their participation in the democratic process and their support for candidates who share the vision of development and effective governance in the Federal Capital Territory.
It will be recalled that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) recently conducted the Local Government and Area Council elections, during which candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) emerged victorious in several councils.
The visit formed part of ongoing efforts by the FCT Minister and stakeholders to appreciate voters and strengthen political engagement with communities across the territory.
