Veteran Nollywood actress Omotola Jalade Ekeinde has revealed that she could have become a billionaire if she had chosen to compromise her personal values.
Speaking during an interview on the The Afropolitan Show, the actress explained that she has faced several situations where she could have accepted lucrative offers by going against her principles.
According to Omotola, those opportunities would have brought significant financial rewards, but she decided to walk away because they did not align with her beliefs.
She said that maintaining her integrity has given her things that money cannot buy, despite the financial opportunities she may have missed.
The actress explained that on many occasions she refused offers that required her to compromise her stance, even though she knew she could have benefited greatly from them.
In her words:
“If I wanted to be a billionaire I would have been it easily because I have been in situations where no one would have known and I would have taken things and compromised my stands, but I would say no, and I would walk away. Many times, and some of those people are even watching me today.”
Omotola added that standing by her principles remains one of the most important decisions she has made throughout her career in the entertainment industry.
