Omoyele Sowore, the former presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), has alleged that Nigeria’s Minister of Works, David Umahi, recently paid businesswoman Tracynither Ohiri the sum of 110 million naira. Sowore claimed that the money was reportedly transferred in United States dollars, an action he argued could constitute a financial offence.
The activist made the claim in a video he shared publicly, where he addressed the controversy surrounding the alleged transaction. According to him, the payment followed a dispute between Umahi and Ohiri, which he said has now been resolved outside the courtroom through a private settlement.
Sowore suggested that the agreement between the minister and the businesswoman indicates that there had been a financial obligation that required settlement. He further maintained that if the allegation is challenged by Umahi, he is prepared to present additional details about the matter to the public. See More/Details
