Photos: North Korea Fires Missiles in Response to U.S. Military Exercise

According to a report by Sky News on Saturday, March 14, 2026, North Korea fired a series of missiles into the sea on Saturday in apparent retaliation to a joint United States–South Korea military exercise.

According to South Korea’s Joint Chiefs of Staff, approximately ten ballistic missiles were launched from an area near Pyongyang’s international airport, traveling roughly 220 miles before landing in the Sea of Japan. The launches were widely seen as a show of force amid heightened regional tensions.

The missile tests occurred just hours after South Korean Prime Minister Kim Min-seok met with U.S. President Donald Trump in Washington. In response, South Korea has increased its surveillance and monitoring of the North’s military activities. See More/Details
