Rashford speaks on Messi’s plan to return to Barcelona, amid the clubs’ plan to sign him permanently
According to recent report from Sky Sports on 10th November, 2025, former Manchester United attacker and Barcelona forward, Marcus Rashford in his recent football interactive session, spoke briefly on Lionel Messi’s recent plan to return to Camp Nou and possibly join Hansi Flick’s squad soon.
Marcus Rashford reiterated Messi’s plan to return to his boyhood club Barcelona is just to interest fans and make them happy for surprisingly visiting them again, reiterating he understands that many Barca fans have been missing Messi at Camp Nou for too long and even his exit lately to French side PSG came like a big shock to them all, before he finally went to the USA to join David Beckham’s club, Inter Miami.
However, Marcus Rashford noted that he would be glad to become Lionel Messi’s teammate if that will be possible, recounting that there were moments in his football career when he had aspire to be a Barca player, playing alongside a football legend like the Argentina international.
He noted that Messi’s recent plan sounds funny and obviously not too serious to be considered possible at this time, because many people have already concluded he will retire from football at Inter Miami.
Marcus Rashford went ahead to recall that during his days at Manchester United, he always consider any match against the Spanish Champions as one of the toughest games to play in football, because Lionel Messi hardly records defeats as a Barcelona playmaker.
Lionel Messi’s recent visit to Camp Nou which reportedly came as a surprise to the club raised many questions from football analysts and interviewers all over the world. It was something most of them had to seriously try to find out if Messi is still actually interested in coming back in the next transfer season.
