Sanwo-Olu’s Aide Responds to APC Women Greeting Obi at Lagos Party

Jubril Gawat, who serves as Senior Special Adviser on Media to Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has reacted publicly to a trending video involving Abike Dabiri-Erewa, the Chairperson of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM).

The video, which Gawat shared on his official X (formerly Twitter) page on February 6, 2026, shows Dabiri-Erewa rising from her seat to welcome former Anambra State governor and prominent ADC member, Peter Obi.

In the footage, Dabiri-Erewa is seen alongside other women affiliated with the All Progressives Congress (APC) as they stood up to greet Obi and exchanged handshakes with him upon his arrival at an event held in Lagos State. The video also captured Peter Obi in the company of Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu at the gathering.

After posting the clip online, Gawat offered a brief message, expressing hope and prayers for harmony and progress across all political parties in Nigeria.
