Seems “Obasanjo Forgot Where His Votes Came From” — Ibrahim Jibril Speaks on NUC Tenure

Professor Mohammed Munzali Jibril, 75, a former Academic Provost of the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) Kaduna, and former Executive Secretary of the National Universities Commission (NUC) , during an interview with Daily Trust correspondent, revealed why he only served one term in NUC.

When he was asked why he served one term in the NUC, he said, “Yes. When Obasanjo came, it was just like what is happening now with Tinubu. He forgot where his votes came from, and the South-West, which did not vote for him, was the main beneficiary of his appointments.”

He said that based on his record of performance, he believed he would have been given a second term, but explained that the authorities wanted their own people to occupy key positions instead. See More/Details
