“I’d love that to happen,” he said. “We had a manager here for quite some time who was not English but hugely successful.
If that were to be me someday, it would be incredible. Winning league titles is what this club is all about, and that’s where we want to be again.”

“I understand the situation, and where we were when I came in January the plan for the rest of the season and the possibilities for the summer nothing has really changed,” Carrick explained. “Decisions will be made when the time is right.
My focus is on doing the best job I can, planning for the future, and doing what’s best for the club and the squad. Whether I’m part of that plan or not, I’ve accepted the situation I walked into.”
